Information about Cruise Move
Basic concept:
A cruise move is a request to "transform" the current amount paid in your booking into a Future Cruise Credit Voucher (FCC).
Meaning that whatever money you have paid on your booking, the total amount will be credited to your next booking. Any pre-paid packages, drinks, fast track etc. will also be converted as part of the credit on your booking.
The cruise move is not a cabin move onto a new cruise, meaning that the cruise line will charge you / refund you for the difference between the new cabin/cruise you have requested and the Future Cruise Credit Voucher that you are entitled to.
A couple of examples to illustrate this:
Cruise move to a more expensive cabin
You have requested a cruise move to an itinerary or a cabin that is more expensive than what you have paid for. You owe the cruise line the difference between the new booking and your cruise credit.
For example: your cruise credit is a total of R12,000.- (USD 750.-). You have now asked for a cruise move on a cruise that the total booking is R13,750.- (USD 860.-), you are liable to pay the difference between the new booking and your cruise credit => R1,750.- (USD 110.-)
Cruise move to a less expensive cabin
You have requested a cruise move to an itinerary or a cabin that is less expensive than what you have paid for. The cruise line will owe you the difference between the new booking and your cruise credit.
For example: your cruise credit is a total of R12,000.- (USD 750.-). You have now asked for a cruise move on a cruise that the total booking is R10,000.- (USD 625.-). The difference of R2,000 (USD 125.-) will either be refunded to you, or can be used for onboard credit, drinks vouchers etc
Pre-paid Packages
After the cruise move, if you would like to add any pre-paid packages, drinks, extra onboard credit, etc.. those will be booked at the new season's price.
For example: you would like a drinks package that cost on the old booking R800.-, and now cost R850, you are liable for the extra R50.- in order to book your package.
