Do cruise ships have lifeguards?

Generally, the ship does not have lifeguards aboard, exception for Disney Cruise Line, Royal Caribbean and Norwegian Cruise Line.

However, the safety of children is fully the parent or guardian’s responsibility.

With cruise lines that have private island destinations such as Coco Cay or Portuguese Island, lifeguards will often be on the watch around the pool and on the beach.
