Aurora Expeditions moves Ship to Australia

Aurora Expeditions, the Australian owned expedition operator, will be offering a fresh itinerary in Australia, starting from June 2021, onboard the Greg Mortimer.

Big news for Aussie adventurers! Aurora Expeditions has just announced a new series of domestic voyages, bringing their polar expedition expertise to the Australian coast.

According to CEO Monique Ponfoot, “After 30 years at the forefront of polar expedition travel we are beyond excited to be launching a season of truly unique expeditions to our own backyard.”

This move is in response to the changing travel landscape and shows Aurora Expeditions can adapt and deliver the ultimate experience for their clients. The new Australian itineraries will be a treasure trove of natural wonders, cultural encounters and wildlife experiences for both local and international travellers when borders open.

The voyages will visit:

1. Antarctica (Commonwealth Bay and the Ross Sea): Continuing their polar legacy

2. Coral Coast: Western Australia’s marine life and beaches

3. Kangaroo Island: Nature’s recovery after the 2020 bushfires

4. Tasmania: Australia’s island state

5. Ningaloo Reef: Snorkel with whale sharks in a UNESCO World Heritage site

6. Bass Strait Islands: The hidden gems between mainland Australia and Tasmania

7. South West Edge: Western Australia’s southern coast and ancient forests

Adventurers and nature lovers will be able to find more information on Aurora Expeditions’ new itineraries, expedition dates, activities and special offers from March 4th. Bookings will open on Thursday, March 11th, 2021.
